Obituary of Michael Thal

Mr. Micheal Thal passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at the age of 98 years.

Micheal was born in Romania and moved to Germany in 1946. He married Hilde Klein in Öhringen, Germany, and they then moved to Canada in 1954, and has resided in Calgary since then.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Richard Weetman of Calgary, AB; a son Gunther Michael Thal of Edmonton, AB, and two grandchildren, Luke and Evan. He is also survived by his sister Marianne in Germany.

Micheal was predeceased by one brother and three sisters.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at St. Boniface German Church (1923 Broadview Road N.W., Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

Funeral Mass will then be celebrated at St. Boniface German Church (1923 Broadview Road N.W., Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Henry Rosenbaum presiding. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall of the Church.
