Condolences for the family of “YAMASHITA, Brenda Carol (Sketcher)”

Condolence from Allan Yamashita on June 9th, 2016 5:23 AM

Kim and I were saddened with the loss of Brenda when we learned of her passing. We first met Brenda when we moved to Alberta in the late seventies. With our young family at the time we socialized from time to time in Edmonton, until our families moved out of the Edmonton area. We went north to Grande Prairie and Bob and Brenda south to Calgary. As the years passed, we met at Yamashita family events as our families grew up. We remember Brenda as a kind and gentle person and will miss our conversations/meetings with her. We offer our condolences to your family’s loss.

I am so sorry for your loss, but comforted that she is now in a place far from the reach of cancer. Although I hadn’t met her personally, I feel like I have. Her spirit shines through your daughter Meghan.

It was with sadness that we heard of the passing of Brenda. Our thoughts are with you Bob and all the other family and friends at this time.
Being so far away in Australia we didn’t get to see Brenda a lot over the past years but she will always be remembered by me as a much loved cousin.

Condolence from Gary Miles on October 18th, 2018 12:31 AM

I was good freinds with your daughter, Mr. Yamashita. I’m not sure if I should send this, if you’ll read it because it’s been about 2 years. I’ve never met you. I happened to google your wife and her obituary appeared.

I’d like to send my very late condolences to you and Meghan. She spoke so highly of not only you but her mother’s courageous ongoing battle with cancer. Meghan always had nothing but good words, care and deep concern for her mother. I sincerely hope you are both well and in good health. Meghan always spoke of your wife every time we met, showing concern for the setbacks, celebrating the positive steps.

I’m deeply saddened for both of you upon hearing this sad news. May the dark spot on your soul be comforted knowing she’s always with you.
