James Jasper (Jim) Williams of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 13, 2015 at the age of 84.

Jim was born November 24, 1930 in Calgary, AB. He graduated from Western Canada High School, completed his CGA and a diploma in Data Processing Management. With the exception of a few years in Edmonton and Fort McMurray during the 1970’s, Jim lived his entire life in Calgary.

Being a native Calgarian meant Jim was a diehard Calgary Stampeders fan and faithfully cheered the team on each year. His other hobbies were woodworking, lapidary, computer games and reading, especially Isaac Asimov novels. Next to the Stampeders, Jim was most passionate about golf. He was a member of the Silver Springs Golf and Country Club for more than 30 years and managed to score four holes in one. Golf getaways with Helen in the Southern USA were always an enjoyable part of his winter.

Jim is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen; his children, John (Heather), Lori Sahebkar (Masoud) and Alan; as well grandchildren, Parvoneh, Kaveh and Eric; two brothers, Michael (Michelle), Bill (Carol); and sister Lynda Lyster (Dale).

Jim was predeceased by his son Gary in September 2015.

A private family gathering will be held to remember Jim.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
