WEISBROT, Edwin Arthur

June 30, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

Edwin (Ed) Arthur Weisbrot passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the age of 87.

Ed was born in Southey, Saskatchewan. He married Lydia in 1955 and moved to Calgary in 1965. Many of Ed’s working years were spent self-employed in the antiques industry, where he and Lydia ran a successful business. Prior to his stroke, Ed was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Calgary, serving in various voluntary positions over the decades.

Ed is survived by his loving wife, Lydia; sister, Rose (Ted) Wagner; son, Dana (Catherine); daughter, Linda Hovdebo; son, Kurt (Tarralee); and grandsons, Roland and Kristian.

Ed was predeceased by his son, Randy, and son-in-law, Ron Hovdebo.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated at Grace Lutheran Church (3610 Sarcee Rd SW, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the church. Graveside Service to follow at Monday, July 9, 2018 at Queen’s Park Cemetery (4th Street & 31st Avenue N.W, Calgary AB). Memories and condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
