WEDGEWOOD, Clifford Reid “Cliff”

February 25, 1939 – Welwyn, Saskatchewan
April 5, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

Cliff Wedgewood of Calgary passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the age of 79 years.

Cliff was born in Welwyn, Saskatchewan to parents Albert Frank Wedgewood and Edna Roberta (nee Bonar).

Cliff enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on July 15, 1957. He was proud of his service and working on the Avro Arrow Project until the project was disbanded.

Cliff became an active member with the Royal Canadian Legion in Summerland, BC and Calgary, AB.

After leaving the RCAF, Cliff’s entrepreneurial spirit led him into several endeavours during his lifetime and career.

Cliff leaves behind his family, M. Joan Wedgewood; Corinne and Gary Freeman of Sherman Park, Alberta, Christine Wedgewood and Stephen Merritt of Calgary; granddaughter Ariel Freeman of Calgary; great-grandchildren, Neavaya Freeman of Sherman Park and Rhyder Freeman of Calgary; brother John F. Wedgewood, former spouse Simone Lavoie and numerous extended family.

Cliff was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Edna; his sisters, Muriel, Dorthea and Pearl.

A Celebration of Cliff’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through

Weather wasn’t kind to you at many times but knowing you- you just didn’t give up. we will miss you and your always helping ways. I’m so glad to have had you in our lives once again.
