  2. St. Thomas Pastoral Care

John and Margaret are celebrated for a lot of things at St. Thomas that live on. Margaret was renowned for her poetic announcements and John for his resourcefulness. The highlights for me about John are his famous hot chocolate he made for the youth, along with his special relationship with them and the magnificent library he built for the whole congregation to enjoy and use. We hold the whole family in our hearts and prayers on John’s passing. Deep condolences, Marj Aucoin

  5. I have been thinking often of Uncle John, Aunt Margaret, Ken, Harriet, Carolyn, Bruce and their families these last weeks. I am so sorry to be missing Uncle John’s celebration of life.
I will always remember Uncle John taking the time to teach me how to get things done, how to fix things, how to drive, and later on how to balance family priorities, hard work and diversify our investments. Thanks Uncle John, it was all helpful and appreciated.

My strongest impressions of Uncle John were of how bold and ambitious he was and how hard he worked on his businesses, career and community building projects. He had such a huge “CAN DO” attitude and was always interested in finding out what I was involved with and encouraging me to do what I loved and was called to do.

Uncle John, thanks for your love of travel, for your love of flying , for your love of family and your great generosity. With much love and gratitude for all the gifts you gave us by the way you lived. We wish you every blessing from God on your next great adventure.

    David Waines
