TANTON, Gerald Kenneth (Ken)

May 27, 1952 – Preeceville, Saskatchewan
October 10, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

Ken beloved husband of Laurie Tanton (nee Lee) of Calgary, AB, passed away after a lengthy illness on October 10, 2018 at the age of 66 years.

Ken worked for Key Concrete before operating his own successful businesses, K&A Transport and Ken’s Truck & Crane Service. Ken also worked for TAHM Enterprises prior to his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and spending time at the family cabin at Whispering Pines Ranch, Water Valley, Alberta.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Laurie; five daughters and four sons-in-laws, Tammy and Mike of Regina, SK, Christina of Regina, SK, Ronita and Larry, of Big River, SK, Karlee and Tyler of High River, AB, and Sarah and Dallas Kelowna, BC; four granddaughters, Autumn, Destiny, Justice and Emalee, three grandsons, Kody, Liam and Jaxon; step son Jason (Cathy) Auld and their children Alena and Arthur; Ken’s siblings and their spouses Harvey and Lorraine, Don, Lloyd and Karin, Allan and Birgit, Marlene, and Laurel and Zane. He will be missed by his extended family and numerous friends. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Verna; and his sisters Bonnie and Karen.

A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
