TAGGART, Dorothy (nee Taylor)

May 8, 1928 – Cawdor, Scotland
March 6, 2017 – Calgary, AB

Dorothy Taggart beloved wife of the late James Taggart of Calgary, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the age of 88 years.

Dorothy worked for the Bank of Montreal in Saint John, NB and moved west, working in various branches for 36 years, finally settling in Calgary in 1963. Her love of life was contagious, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, gardening, baking, crafting and various games like cards, pool and golf. Dorothy travelled to her birth place of Scotland, and had many bus trips to the US with Siblings and back home to the family farm in New Brunswick.

Dorothy is survived by her sister-in-law June Taggart of Brandon Manitoba; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by both of her parents; her husband James; five brothers and five sisters.

As per Dorothy’s wishes no formal services will be held. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. A special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at the Foothills Medical Hospital for their heartfelt care and support from time of diagnosis and through her final stages of life

    Sorry we were unable to make the Celebration of Life Ceremony due to the inclement weather. Dorothy was a dear friend who we met in Mesa, Arizona 20 years ago. We will remember her with much affection and expect St. Peter will have a spot for her at the Bingo Table when she arrives.
