    To Julius’s family:
Our family left Calgary over thirty years ago, but I remember him fondly from my years teaching at U of C in the Departments of Classics, Archaeology and Continuing Education, particularly through contacts with Peter Shinnie. We lived around the corner from you on Utah Drive so I remember with a smile, both David and Julius. I am so sorry to hear of Julius’s passing, but know he did so much to keep the light of Egyptology alive at a time when our society needs the light of civilisation more than ever. Kind thoughts go out to you all from our family.

  24. Dear Ginette:
    Please accept our condolences.
Julius was an amazing person; medical doctor, expert on Egyptian history, stamp collector, dog behavior and world history. I will sorely miss our discussions of politics and world affairs over a glass navy rum as well as the e-mails we exchanged on a daily basis. Most of all I will miss his friendship and wit. Kindest regards, John & Lorraine.

We will truly miss his contributions and support.
