Dear Family…..I have had the honour of being a friend of Sam’s for many years and have been blessed for this part of my life. He has been an inspiration to many people around the globe and I thank GOD for his generosity. May Sam rest in peace with your mom and others in the past family. You survivors deserve the best memories that this beautiful human being leaves you. I wish you peace and good health with a long life.

There are no words to express how much I will miss my Uncle Sammy. My husband, Paul also loved him as much as me, and called him Uncle Sammy as well. It is hard to believe or imagine a world with him not in it but to think about all of the amazing things he accomplished and all of the people he touched in his lifetime, he will truly live on forever. We and my children have so many great memories of our times we spent with him, the funny stories we shared, and we never got tired of listening to him talk about his childhood- actually there was that child that always stayed with him. I can hear his laughter now. His love of life and his ability through his hard work and accomplishments to ‘pay it forward’ will not be forgotten or taken for granted. I know he is with my mother and father now and the rest of his family sitting around a camp fire catching up and making new memories. Uncle Sammy we love and miss you terribly already. To all of our extended family, you are in our hearts now and always. Love Laura and Paul
