He and Joan loved to travel and enjoyed many nice trips around the world together. He was proud to have assisted with transportation issues during the 1988 Olympics.

Jim will be remembered fondly for his Irish humour and love of life.

Sad to learn about Jim’s passing. Enjoyed many rounds of golf with him at Canyon and Spokane and Whitefish and many laughs. He was a great guy and he will be missed.

Greg and Diane
We remember both Jim and Joan so fondly. They had such warm hearts and over the years, as our children grew in Calgary, we spent many enjoyable times with them. At the end of Halloween trick or treating the kids loved to come over to Jim and Joan’s and dump out all their candy on their living room floor and show it to them. Spending time with them watching sports on TV and many dinners were other special memories we will have. Jim was a gentle soul and great to talk to. Hugs to both of you.

To Greg and Diane
We returned to Calgary to learn of Jim’s passing. When I last visited him at Fanning he was his usual alert and dry witted self accepting of his condition and thankful for the attention he was receiving there. Conversations as usual were of his past exploits as an engineer in Hamilton and then later in Alberta i the oil sector. He had some firm opinions on our changing society and where improvements should be made soon. We will now have to rely on our memories of pleasant times.

To Greg and Diane

I fondly remember Jim and his visits to your Mom in Calgary before they married and then when he visited in Whitehorse while on business trips. He was a kind, loving man with a great sense of humour. I will treasure the many memories
