“Love is not always the perfection of moments or the sum of all the shining days – sometimes it’s to drift apart, to be broken, to be disassembled by life and living, but always to come back together and be each other’s glue again. Love is an act of life, and we are made more by living.” – Richard Wagamese

In living memory of Kraylin Stickel, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH, Telephone: 403-276-2296.

Condolence Messages

  1. Kray, we met you thru our daughters a few years ago,

We enjoyed our family activities at the farm, at school, dropping off my daughter and picking her up for sleepovers. Always laughed at Kasha when she leaned on us when visiting, enjoyed our talks about the outdoors, most of all loved your open honest demeanor.

We did not know you that long, but you made such a positive impression on us. We will all remember our family times togethernwith you.

Thank you Kray, you and your family are in our thoughts.

  11. Kray (and family),

Ella and I met you through our daughters being bffs in middle school.
It wasn’t that long ago you moved to the hood. But….
Your new-ish presence in the neighbourhood will be missed. I have been shedding a tear each time I pass your house, is almost daily.

Reflecting on why all us friends in the hood are so torn up, is because you were such an amazing man with so much impact from just being you!

We all wanted to know you better, and all wanted to hang out with you. You made an impact on us in such a short time. Impact of you just being you, included drop offs, pick ups and facebook chats on all things, politics, school, for the past few years.

My family loves Zeda so much, including my bro, and mum, who love her company so much. And me too. She has amazing traits from you, and we will continue to love her and you and support your family all the time.

Our deepest condolences, and we are here for support whenever you need.

Ella, Nancy and the Merritt family

  14. Cousin Ward
I am so sorry for your loss. Kray sounds like the kind of person everybody would like for a brother, a friend, or a son. I am sorry that I was never able to meet him. He does come from good pioneer stock on two sides in your family. I really enjoyed talking with you at the family reunion my sister Vera and Greg Coombes organized. Otherwise,we probably wouldn’t have ever met again. Just hold on to memories of who and how he touched in his too short time. Hugs Austin

  15. Nona and Ward,
I can’t image losing a child regardless how long they have been on this earth. I prefer to celebrate life vs grieving life. Kraylin appears to have celebrated life. I am sorry I won’t be there to offer comfort to you, but with the support of your family and friends and own personal strength, you will find peace.
Thinking of you – Pat Gramlich
