Dr. Terry Stewart will always be remembered as a man of many walks of life. He was an accomplished physician specializing in paediatric anaesthesia and was able to use those skills to help people all over the world.

He cherished many hobbies including: flying, sailing, ranching, riding, and most importantly spending time with his family and friends. He was always quick to invite someone along for an adventure and truly cared about everyone having fun and staying safe.

Unfortunately Terry, along with his friend Ken Umbach, took their last flight June 28, 2018. He was the kind of man that loved to live life large, and touched the lives of so many people. His smile and infectious spirit will live on forever in our memories.

Terry was a sailing friend, who shall be remembered fondly by myself and many other Ail Sailors who had the good fortune to explore BC’s west coast with him over the years. In fact, this year’s sailing route along the Sunshine Coast was suggested by Terry himself. Everyone enjoyed the trip! Those 10 days in May will be the perfect way to remember our friend, such a kind and fun-loving man.

Rest in Peace, Terry, and know that you have touched the lives of many with your goodness. To Terry’s family, our sincere sympathies. We grieve with you.

    Dear Selma and family:

We were very sorry to hear of the tragic news regarding Terry. I distinctly remember Terry recommending that I have the surgery on my ears way back in 1985, and Rosemary will always be thankful to him for inspiring her to go into nursing. He was easy to talk to, and we enjoyed our many varied conversations with him. We always knew Terry as a happy lively person who lived his life to the fullest.
