October 4, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that we announce that Ben Speichert, of Calgary, AB, has passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 4, 2018 at the age of 67.

Ben was a devoted and loving father who loved his children very much. His family held a very special place in his heart and he loved them all deeply. Ben will always be remembered for his kind wonderful fun-loving personality, and his ability to make people laugh.

He had an amazing life and he loved to share his memories by telling stories of his wonderful adventures and the amazing people that he met. He had many interests such as art, history, and politics; but most obvious was his love for music. Ben had so many family, friends, and people that loved him. He will be deeply missed but he will continue to live forever in our hearts.

Ben is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Kerim and son, Darcy; sister, Helma and Al, brothers, Arnold and Susan, Raymond and Willy; nieces, and their families, Debbie and daughter Olivia, Cindy and children, Jaxon and Emma; Bonnie and Mark and daughter Sarah, Tiffany and Matt and daughters, Nevaeh and Mia; nephews and their families, Simon and Shannon and son, Dominick; Ben, and Lucas and Britney.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sigismund and Emma, and his daughter, Christina.
