Lyle Singular passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019 at the age of 87 years.
Lyle was born in Broadview, Saskatchewan and moved east to London, Ontario to become an Automotive Mechanic where he met and married Marion in 1954. They moved west to Calgary in 1970 and enjoyed life together until Marion’s passing in 1994. Luckily Lyle found love twice when he met Velma.
Lyle always enjoyed an active life with family and friends including outdoor activities, camping and driving journeys as well as cruises to numerous ports through out the world. He loved to attend dances and was an accomplished cribbage player.
Left to celebrate Lyle’s life is his companion Velma Sornberger. He was survived by his children Linda (Dale) Mcfadyen, Wayne (Shelley) Singular; his grandchildren Krista Maindonald, Lyle Mcfadyen, Nicole Singular (Marco Lussetti), Michelle Singular and Steven Singular; Also, Velma’s children, Mike (Judy) Sornberger, Bob Sornberger (Shaun Tompkins), Joyce (Tony) Baker and Wayne Sornberger; her grandchildren, Terry, Sabrina and Madilyn Sornberger; and great-grandchildren Renee and Savanah Sornberger.
Lyle was predeceased by his wife Marion (McLachlan); parents Truman and Sarah Singular; brothers Aubrey and Bill Singular, and sister Gladys Miller.
At Lyle’s request, no funeral service will be held. A friends and family celebration of Lyle’s life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 3 to 7 pm at the Greater Forest Lawn Seniors Centre , 3425 – 26th Avenue S.E.
