SHIPP, Carol Doretta (nee Johnson)

August 30, 1937 – Hull, Quebec
April 10, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

Carol Shipp of Calgary passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at the age of 81 years.

Carol grew up in Toronto throughout World War II and remained there into her 20’s. After briefly moving to Golden, BC she settled in Calgary where she raised her family and met many of her lifelong friends – Dale, the Rosso family, Peg and Vern, and so very many more. While In Calgary she obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree, and became a Chartered Accountant. She took great pride in continuing to practice her rewarding profession into her late 70’s.

Carol is survived by her daughter Linda, her grandsons Ryan and Lane, and her granddaughter Alana.

She was predeceased by her parents Torsten and Rose, her adoptive parents Anne and Mitch, her sister Greta, and her son Vernon.
