August 21, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta
Blair “Frank” Seppa of Calgary, Alberta passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at the age of 61 years.
As a young man, Blair started working on the rigs in 1978 and after several years moved to the service side of the drilling industry eventually specializing in Underbalanced Drilling. Blair took great joy in the adventures “the patch” took him on, working throughout western Canada and overseas. Blair easily made friends wherever he went. He especially loved Thailand, Mexico and Australia, though his heart was definitely in Thailand. Blair was a gentle soul and will forever be remembered for his independence, tenacity and free spirit.
Blair leaves behind many friends from amazingly diverse backgrounds, as well as his niece, Stephanie Chipman who lives in Sault Saint Marie, Ontario. Blair was predeceased by his Grandmother (Granny) whom he loved dearly; his mother, Mildred; and his brother, Blain Seppa.
