January 10, 2015 – Calgary Alberta

Emilia “Millie” Semple beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away on January 10, 2015 at the age of 93 years.

Growing up in rural Quebec amongst 14 siblings created strong family values and compassion in Millie that became who she was her whole life. Condolence Messages

  1. Lara Arleninov-Ostrowski

Our deepest condolences and heartfelt sorrow at the news of Millie’s passing. Remembering this amazing woman from my youth, as a teenager and best friend to her loving daughter, Maureen, spending days on end driving Millie crazy with our girlish antics and adolescent mischief at their house on Patricia Ave in Montreal. I met Millie at the age of 13 years old, she was already a young widow after Bernard had passed away only a couple of years before, and she never ceased to amaze me, how she carried on no matter what came her way. How independent and strong she was! I loved her wry sense of humor and spirited attitude – living life on life’s terms with a fierce determination to provide a better future and a solid moral upbringing for her only daughter, my Mo. Millie was an inspiration to me growing up, and I was fortunate to be connected to her through Maureen for the rest of her life. I know that Millie is dancing in Heaven now, with her two great loves, Bernard and Bob. Rest in peace Millie. With love. Lara and George Ostrowski
