Thomas Sefcik, beloved husband of Betty Hollingsworth for over sixty years, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the age of 88 years.
Tom was born and raised in the Crowsnest Pass and was always happiest when he was in the mountains. He was an accountant and worked for Imperial Oil for over thirty years. After retiring, Tom enjoyed working as a consultant for other oil companies. He also enjoyed Church service and in 2001, Tom and Betty were called to serve a Family History Mission for doing genealogical work. He spent much time over the next few years tracking his family tree. Tom enjoyed the outdoors. He and Betty also enjoyed travelling.
In addition to his loving wife, Tom leaves to mourn his passing, his five sons, Douglas (Blanche), Wayne and Steve (Debra) of Calgary, Bill (Sandi) of Utah, and Mark (Darcy) of Wisconsin; two daughters, Susan (Kris) of Utah and Jeannie (Trent) of Lethbridge; and their spouses and families. This includes sixteen granddaughters, 20 grandsons, and 68 great-grandchildren. Tom was predeceased by his parents and two siblings.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. A Private Graveside Service will be held the following day at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Crowsnest Pass, AB. Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
