Edna Schmaltz of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the age of 76 years.

Edna was born and raised in Calgary, AB. She married Gilbert (Gil) Schmaltz on October 7, 1961. She and Gil raised three children, Dean, Rhonda and Scott. She had a passion for curling and golf. She sang in two church choirs and also enjoyed travelling, especially cruises.

Edna is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Dean, Scott and Noelle; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Shane Free; and seven grandchildren, Kassandra, Meaghan, Charnelle, Garrick, Daylene, Sydney, and Kevin; sister, Wendy Andrusyshyn; three sisters-in-law, Patricia (Larry) Wolfe, Florence Bernakevitch, and Angela Stinn; and brother-in-law, Doug Schmaltz (Valerie).

Edna was predeceased by her husband Gil and numerous sisters-in-law and her brother-in-law.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 404 Northmount Place N.W., (corner of 4th Street & Northmount Drive N.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow at Corpus Christi Hall.
