Condolence Messages

  1. Yasmin Miller :

My heartfelt condolences to Marjorie and family. I feel for you all at this time. There comes a time when the physical constraints are too limiting for the spirit and it is time to go on. This is the way of life and death, and that moment of transition is as wondrous going out as it is coming in. Life rides on the breath.

I remember Bob for his calm demeanour, kindness and gentle ways. Even when a person lives 86 years, when it is someone of this calibre, it still feels too soon when they die. The world needs more people like him. Fortunately, the world still has Marjorie, an equally wonderful person! I will always remember your poise, strength and generosity when Stuart died. I was so moved by that. Of course, at this time of year I am reminded of that again. Marjorie, you are truly an example of grace.

It feels like a loss when someone we love dies, but I know that life is more than the collection of atoms that makes our bodies. It is the energy that infuses us that makes us alive. It comes through us. That energy never dies. As Eckhart Tolle wrote, “Death is not the opposite of life. Life has no opposite. The opposite of death is birth. Life is eternal.”

You are in my thoughts and heart. I wish you peace. and may you gain comfort from friends and family at this time.

    with much love,
    Yasmin

My deepest sympathy for the Robinson family. I will always remember being a little girl and spending time with my cousins in Mr & Mrs Robinson’s house. Between playing with the toys, from A Bug’s Life, in their basement to running around in their backyard with Brennah, Haidee, Zhivan and Demara. Bob made me feel like I was one of his grandchildren too.

  13. Smith, Jim and Vi :

    Marjorie,
Vi and I are saddened by your loss of Bob, which loss we share with you. Bob was a warm, friendly, and interesting man, and we always enjoyed his company and his conversation.

We will miss seeing him at church, which won’t be the same without him. He was a pillar of our church, and valued friend, and we are lessened by his loss. We cherish our memories of him however, and we can keep them forever. We are so sorry for your loss. We cannot be with you on Thursday as we are in Lethbridge at a memorial for Vi’s brother in law, on Thursday, but I look forward to seeing you at Knox, and I hope we can give you a big hug.

    Jim and Vi
