RIVARD, Leonard Robert

April 1, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with much love and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Leonard Robert Rivard of Calgary, on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the age of 83 years.

Leonard is survived by his children, Shaune Rivard, Arlene (Gerry) Isbister, Gary (Leslie) Shaughnessy, Rae Shaughnessy (Jerry Seniuk); sisters Bertha (Dave)and Doreen of St. Paul, AB; as well as eight grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife Nancy in 2010.

A Celebration of Leonard’s Life and Interment will be held at a later date in Edmonton. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank all the compassionate staff at AgeCare Midnapore for the kindness and care they provided to our dad.

    Len was a great guy to know. Always a hand extended, and a laugh to make the Day. I was involved with hockey with Len in Castle Downs, Edmonton. He seemed to be everywhere, had the answers, and the help you needed. In later years it was not a great surprise to see him working the gate at Millarville. Same guy as ever. Proud that he called me his friend. Condolences to Shaune and the rest of the family.
