January 14, 1998 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
January 27, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

On Sunday, January 27th, 2019 Tyler passed away suddenly at the age of 21 years.

Tyler Robert Ries was born on January 14, 1998 to LaVonne and Kevin Ries in Saskatoon, SK soon after he resided in Calgary for a few short years and then moved to an acreage by Kathyrn.
Tyler graduated Grade 12 at Beiseker High School and carried on to further his education with electrical at Lethbridge College. Tyler touched many people and loved everyone and everything. He was passionate for playing Hockey (Beiseker Blazers) as a goalie, baseball as a pitcher, and soccer. Always offering a hand or volunteering in the community of Irricana. He truly enjoyed being with his buddies, loved many outdoor activities (fishing, camping, pig roasts, dirt biking, and a late night by the fire telling stories). Tyler played minor hockey in Beisieker from atom all the way to midget. Tyler enjoyed cooking, baking, eating his nana’s cookies & grandma’s perogies! He loved playing cards and poker too! He cheered for the Chicago Blackhawks, Toronto BlueJays, and of course the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Never in my wildest dreams, could I imagine that you would leave us. Gone too soon. We shared many memories, laughs and tears. I always enjoyed your company, always sad when you left me. I love you son and I’m always going to miss that one last hug. Love in memory for all of us who truly loved you Tyler.

Tyler loved family. He is survived by his loving parents, LaVonne and Kevin. He cherished his brother Ryan, sister Lexie, Grandparents Cora and Terry, Evelyn and Bill, and Terry and Shirley. Tyler also leaves behind a special auntie Jo and uncle Kelly. He was loved by so many more cousins and friends who became family.

Your kind sweet soul has touched many hearts, and will never be forgotten. My hope for you is that you may find peace. We will all cherish your memories and never forget the amazing young man you had become. Rest easy Tyler, we’ll all miss you like crazy man

Condolence from Tammy & Leon Yasinski & Family on February 1st, 2019 1:59 PM

All our love to you Kevin, Lavonne, Ryan, Lexie and all of Tyler’s family and friends. As you try to find your way through this unimaginable sorrow, know that others are sharing your grief and profound loss. Know that not only is there so much love and support for you in all of us but that Tyler is still here with us giving you love and comfort. Every memory shared and every laugh and smile given from the sharing is Tyler’s gift to all in this time and for all the time to come.  He was a kind young man of smiles and easy friendly conversation.  A much loved son,  brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend and there are no words to express the loss. Tyler we know you are at peace fishing the eternal streams and lakes of limitless catches, riding across the the glorious landscapes and sitting around campfires with those who have gone before you beside you. Rest in peace and joy until we all meet again. May you feel all the love we are all sending to you. Thank you for giving those who love you so much love and so many memories to comfort them… Love Tammy, Leon, Jessica, Garrett and Connor Yasinski

Condolence from Monica Piros and Family on February 1st, 2019 2:11 PM

There is nothing more sacred in this life, than to give love and to cherish the joy that comes from receiving it as well. I can’t think of a young man that was more loved by his family and friends, than Tyler was. His loss has resonated with them and his community in ways that make little sense in this moment, and the many that are yet to come. I hope everyone’s happy memories of him help each person who knew him, get through this difficult time. I feel he would have wanted that, and hope he is at peace.

Condolence from Marg Kent on February 1st, 2019 4:54 PM

So sad to hear of Tyler’s passing, my heart goes out to you. I will always remember his warm smile, his most excellent sense of humour and of course his friendly and quite often mischievous behavior that was demonstrated throughout his high school career in Beiseker.
