Condolence from Susan Schenk on January 15th, 2016 3:00 PM

I am so sorry for your loss.
I worked with Ken for the better part of 9 years; he was a hard man to get to know but, over the years we talked quite a bit and became fond of one another. I knew him as someone I could respect, a hard working “straight shooter” with a kind heart, and though I haven’t seen him since he retired thoughts of him still bring a smile to my face. I am sure, wherever he’s gone, he’s making that place more interesting! He always made me laugh with his gruff nature, his perspective on things and his directness, and I appreciated his time and the stories he shared with me. He was more kind and generous than he wanted people to know, and even went so far as to give me a couple of his prized bib style shirts, when I was unable to find one.
I have nothing but fond memories of Ken and am saddened by his loss.
