Dale was a great person and a large part of my working career, from when I started in The Alberta Gas Trunkline Company through the international work of Nova and Transcanada. Lost touch for many years but caught up again last summer in Calgary. Both Orla and I were grateful to be able to share some stories and experiences. We both loved how interested and knowledgeable Dale was of international affairs. He will be sadly missed.

Condolence from John Fulton on June 6th, 2014 11:01 AM

Dale was an amazing person whom I’ve known since I was a young boy in Scotland. When he came to Glasgow he would tell us about his kids and wife ( who are our cousins ) and about the wonderfull world of Calgary. When we got older we went to Canada, Dale and the family took us to the stampede then the pig roast of which I’m a door prize winner ha ha. We fell in love with the place that much we wanted to move there. Dale did everything for us to come and it was all planned until I was struck down with cancer which stopped us. I got the all clear a while later, so later went back and got married in Dale’s back garden which was amazing, and Dale was a great host and Diane arranged everything. It’s hard for us to believe Dale is gone. A hard working man who deserved to live to 100, he’ll be sadly missed but never forgotten, always in our hearts. I wished I could have gotten over to see him, miss you Dale love you always, John Fulton xx

Condolence from Dave Boone on June 6th, 2014 11:11 AM

We are so sad to hear about Dale’s passing. Dutch Creek won’t be the same without Dale. Such a going concern that man. We will toast him with a fine red wine when we’re next out to the cabin – he’d expect nothing less of us. And we will walk by the water supply pumps that he helped install way back when, putting all of that mechanical engineering and Nova experience to use for us all. Our condolences,

Dave (Boone) and Jane (Poole)
