It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Felicetta of Calgary, AB, who passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the age of 91 years.
Felicetta was a selfless, giving, and hard-working person. She came to Canada in 1952 to join her husband. She retired from her profession as a baker at age fifty-five to watch over her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she so loved. Her passions were gardening and cooking her fabulous family meals.
Felicetta is survived by her children and their spouses, Lucy and Dean Tomie and Andrew and Valerie Riccio; grandchildren, Matthew and Nita Tomie, Kathleen Tomie, and Felicia Riccio; great-grandchildren, Owen Walker, Chloe Tomie, Mateo Tomie, and Calla Tomie; sisters, Rosa Grossi, Madelena Pacchiano, Maria and Alfredo DeBlasio, Teresa and Pasquale Mautone, and Anna Horvath; brother, Michelangelo L’Amarca; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Felicetta was predeceased by her husband, Giuseppe Luigi Riccio; brothers, Frank L’Amarca and Giuseppe L’Amarca.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North Calgary, AB,) on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 7:00p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 404 Northmount Place N.W., (corner of 4th Street & Northmount Drive N.W., Calgary, AB) on September 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
