July 15, 1934 – Cracknell, Manitoba
June 3, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our living miracle, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Wilma Edith Pritchard (nee Bach) on Monday, June 3, 2019 at the age of 84. Though we will miss her tremendously, we are very thankful that she has gone to meet her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ and to be reunited with the love of her life, Jack.
Born on the family farm just outside Cracknell, Manitoba on July 15, 1934 to John and Martha Bach, Wilma was the youngest of four sisters, with a younger brother to follow. Wilma moved from the farm into Russell, Manitoba for high school and it was during this time that she met the love of her life, Jack. After graduating high school, Wilma moved to Winnipeg and Jack soon followed. They were married in 1953, setting up their home and beginning to raise their family in Winnipeg. Wilma thoroughly enjoyed being a full time mother and homemaker and was soon busy raising and enjoying her children, Collin, Melodi and Bradley. The family moved to Calgary in 1967 and Wilma became involved in both Camp Okotoks and Bethany Chapel, along with Jack. She especially enjoyed cooking for the kids at camp and working on a fellowship team at Bethany, as well as her various travels and spending time with the many great friends that they made over the years.
Wilma was predeceased by her husband Jack, and leaves to mourn her son Collin (Susan), daughter Melodi, son Brad (Nancy), and five grandchildren of whom she was so very proud, Jason (Pirita), Justin (Ziya), Connor, Bailey and Ashton; as well as her sisters, Florence Ziprick and Agnes DesJarlais (Don); her brother Don Bach (Jean) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held at Bethany Chapel (3333 Richardson Way SW, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow. A private interment will be held.
