Our very best to Vance’s family. Vance was a great person. I worked with him from 1975 to 1978 and at his referral joined the Calgary Minor Hockey Association supervisory activities. Vance as a very knowledgeable insurance executive and was well liked by both his fellow workers and the industry personnel. His name brings back so many fond memories. May he rest in peace.

Condolence from Clive Donald Zuber on December 3rd, 2018 6:46 PM

Vance was a great person to wok with. I was with Marsh Mac from 1975 to 78 where we worked together. Vance recommended me for a supervisory position with the Calgary Minor Hockey Association. Vance was very knowledgeable about insurance & was respected by many of his peers, both with the company and many other insurance companies. It was my pleasure to have known him. With the greatest of respect our condolences are extended to his wife & family.

Condolence from Grace & Allan Devereaux on December 3rd, 2018 8:09 PM

Pat:
Our deepest condolences to you and the family. Vance was so instrumental in my insurance career at Marsh & McLennan. He was the one that taught me commercial vehicle rating and commercial coverage. He was the one that would listen to all my ranting and ravings and then very calmly would say “Grace, remember these things are sent to try us”. He was such a guiding force and such a kind, kind man.

Condolence from Richard Phillips on December 10th, 2018 9:14 AM

My wife and I sat one row ahead of Vance at church every Sunday. While he would stay seated for communion, on our way back to our seats, we always said good morning to him, and shook his hand, which was, every time, reciprocated, followed by a true and genuine smile.

You could tell he was a good man, just by the grip in his handshake, and the smile on his face. While we were unable to be at the funeral, we both said prayers for him.

May he enjoy the peace and love of the Lord. Amen.
