PAUL, William “Wayne”

It is with profound sadness the family of William “Wayne” Paul share his passing. On Thursday, February 7, 2019 surrounded by his family Wayne lost his battle with chronic illness at the age of 77 years.

Wayne was proud to be a native Calgarian. He loved to tell stories of his days working at the Calgary Zoo, his time with the Broncs Football Club as well as the Highway Mens Car Club to which surviving members of the original club still meet and share stories.

Wayne is survived by his “rock”, his cherished wife of fifty-six years, Marilyn. Wayne had a close loving family, he will be lovingly remembered by his children, Scott (Susan) Paul, Kathy (Richard) Mindus and Susanne (Ian) Alger; his grandchildren, Evan and Alanna Paul, Shae (Alex) and Cole Keebler and Madison and Tyler Alger; Wayne is also survived by his sister Dianne and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many other extended family and friends. Wayne was predeceased by his parents Bill and Wilda, and his brother Derryl.

A Memorial Service to honour Wayne will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on what would have been his 78th birthday, Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
