Joseph William “Bill” Pashelka of Calgary, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the age of 66 years.

Bill received his B.A. from the University of Alberta. He was employed by the City of Calgary as a property assessor for thirty-one years and received numerous professional designations and awards. He retired in 2005.

Bill is survived by brothers Richard (Jeannette) and Michael (Barbara); sister Joanne Carrera (Rafael); nieces and nephews, David, Jason, Curtis, Jeffrey, Danielle, Jennifer, Justin, and Jonathon; grandnephew Jakson; and grandnieces Olivia, Daniella, Ally, and Grace. He was predeceased by his mother Prudentienne (nee Lapointe); father August; and sister Suzanne Kornelson.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (1414 Shawnessy Boulevard S.W.) on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Oxford House Foundation of Canada, Suite 204 – 1409 Edmonton Trail N.E.
