I have been away and just heard from a colleague, Sandra Wilkins, that Jane passed away in September. My condolences to the family. She was a very valued member of our community of Law Librarians in Edmonton at the time. When I moved to Winnipeg she would come to visit her sister Fiona here and I was fortunate to have nice visits with her as well. She will be missed.

Jane and I worked for different firms in the early ’90s but we went back and forth to each other’s libraries as needs arose. I also took a legal research class she taught, which was enormously helpful in my first year. I learned a lot from Jane and she was a wonderful person to work with and to know. She always had great ideas and the smarts and energy to bring them to fruition. Thanks for all the wisdom and leadership you gave the rest of us Jane. Rest in peace.
