July 18, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta

Nabil of Calgary, AB, passed away on July 18, 2016 at the age of 24 years.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Nabil Parekh at the very tender age of 24. Nabil will be survived by his mother Shyrose Peerwani, brother Arshil Parekh , Alisha Bachez and many friends. During his short life Nabil worked hard and was ambitious. He was a seasoned chef, an entrepreneur and was pursuing further education. Nabil will be remembered for his big heart, forgiveness, ambition and humility. Nabil means humble and that was the ideal name for him.

    Nabil,
You always always had to make me go head over heels for you!
It was never something simple with you and I our story was way to complicated no one will know. Except our mothers lol! I met you in grade 5 at the surprise birthday party , we exchanged msn and you always took your moms phone. We would talk on the phone for 4 hours in just silence because we were SO SO SO SHY ! you were just so cute! The only guy who had me wrapped around his hand, the only guy I’d walk barefoot for (Africa). From grade 5 till now you and I always found our way back and it drove our mothers nuts! All we said was whatever soon they’ll sort it out HAHHAHA! You though , the minute you were just a few minutes away from Khane or just anywhere I had that feeling you were either in the building or around and I was never wrong! Ive never had that for anyone else. You made my heart beat as cheesy as it sounds , but you were my other half and always will be! Yes we went through way to much togheter you were happy with me , we went camping, we travelled , we would skip school and go to the theater and watch movies back to back the whole day… I think that’s maybe one reason I can’t go to studio anymore I THINK WE OVER PLAYED IT HAHAHAH! You taught me Swahili and “Wei Wei neena meaning you monkey” you were and I was your monkey, your Nigel , your boo , there was so many wierd names. My mom called you “nabz”. Next thing you know your signature ended up being nabz. I told you I’d teach you snowboarding, and skydiving you said “no no no your nuts”. I know we went different ways after Africa but I knew I couldn’t just move on it made no sense to me. I kept my distance but I knew what you were up to. I always had your back close or afar. You and I ate pho every second day that was our ritual. Extra sate ! Extra napkins , fork and extra onions with water HAHAHAHA! AND IF THEY FORGOT ONE THING YOU MADE SURE THEY KNEW T. You were so careful so curious and cautious , about your mom, arshil and I. Always asked us a billion questions just to make sure things were right. Your smile and pearly whites did it all , I just cant forget Africa and Mexico. The one person I wanted to go to Africa with was you, I now have a story to tell . Like the safari car that got stormed with bees, and yes you took the pictures on the trip, only some though ! Oh my love nabil , I just cant process this. I LOVE YOU WITH EVERY BIT OF MY HEART. Only with you when things go wrong my heart feels like half ,it’s only with you that when your mad I go numb. Anything to do with you everyone knows don’t mess around with this specific part of my life. Cause you were Nabil Parekh the man in my life forever ! We had big plans my boy. I wont forget them because now I have to first open up everything we talked about. My prayers are with you , you guided me on the right path and I’ll stay on it for you. Will see each other again and when we do our story starts all over. You will be dearly missed my love. Always!

Your spaghetti was amazing, your smoothies , you had so much talent so much motivation when we were togheter, you got into school you were doing so good. Had I known About any of this you know your family and mine would have came and got you. You are the most humble, soft hearted , strong and amazing person. You were a hard worker and organizer not one thing was out of place with you. So perfect so genuine so peaceful your laugh your smile , everything about you. That day you thought it was funny to surprise me with your tattoo of the dolphin in Africa. OH MY ! we were so opposite of each other but it bonded us so close. You were always the simple one who had patience and I was the get up and go get everything the best. You told me matieral things don’t matter but I was like , sometimes you just have to do it to say you did it. Like my motorcycle I was going to teach you to ride, you always wanted my hat’s and music I always took you to Africana there’s just like 9 years to write and it will never be enough space to say the story.

My baby , I don’t no what happened but I know your watching me , I know . Your alot closer to us now. I love you , rest in paradise my boy. ” No one wanted us to be togheter but I got you babe ” that Akon song is ours.
We go way back no one will take that from us. you were the one . November 4th was my birthday and your birthday was Nov 9 our anniversary was November 21. I’ll remember those dates for ever , you are everything to me.
You were the only guy id be on time for the only guy id wait 5 hours for the only guy I had patience and could talk to. You were my best friend , my love and everything I could ask for. Nabil if it wasnt you then it was no one. No body would ever have me head over heels or have me drive around looking for you for hours . You mr. Made me do things id never do for anyone else. You made me find myself and know what I was capable of. You were just that person, that person I wouldnt be able to live without. This is the most difficult time.

    Love Always and forever
    Alisha Bachez xoxo

  4. Nurjehan Nasser

From Nurjehan & Amir Nasser and the Staff of Bow Valley Insurance @ Brentwood Village.

It was with great sadness that we learnt of the untimely demise of Nabil. (The name itself is extremely close to us for we have a daughter named Nabila, which also means one in a million. Truly, Nabil was one in a million!) We shall always remember Nabil as a very respectful, kind and pleasant person and client.

We pray that the Almighty rest Nabil’s soul in eternal peace; and that He give his family the strength and courage to bear this untimely loss. (Ameen). You know what they say: those whom the Almighty loves the most and needs the most are taken young.

With our deepest and most sincere condolences from Nurjehan Nasser, Amir Nasser and Maria Kravec.

Nabil will always be in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. (Ameen).

    Dear Nabil,
though we know you are where we all long to be, in heaven with the almighty God, we wish we lived together in this side of life longer; for your departure came like a swift wind. We cherished every moment of your stay with us and we are very grateful for the opportunity God granted us to live together. The month of June, 2016 had made a lasting impact (for better) in our family due to your stay with us. We love you very sincerely and look forward to see you in heaven. Your life was short but well lived; as your priority was Love, the greatest gift of the Holy spirit. Among the many things we received from your humble stay, we have been enjoying the coconut milk coffee recipe you thought us. The countless memories we have keep our hearts see you alive in spirit.
Until we join and march with all the saints together, we will continue to sing this song you told us you really like.

When the Saints Go Marching In

We are trav’ling in the footsteps
    Of those who’ve gone before
But we’ll all be reunited (but if we stand reunited)
On a new and sunlit shore (then a new world is in store)

O when the saints go marching in
When the saints go marching in
O Lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

And when the sun refuse (begins) to shine
And when the sun refuse (begins) to shine
O Lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

When the moon turns red with blood
When the moon turns red with blood
O Lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in

    On that hallelujah day
    On that hallelujah day
O Lord I want to be in that number
When the saints go marching in.
Love Uncle, auntie, your brothers and sisters
