O’CONNOR, Barbara Anne

January 27, 1947 – St. Boniface, Manitoba
June 26, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

Barbara O’Connor of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the age of 72 years.

Barbara was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba, Canada on January 27, 1947. She moved to Calgary, AB, in 1962 and married Basil O’Connor in 1969.

Barbara had a passion for life and was an incredibly dedicated wife and mother. No matter how bad she was feeling, whenever someone asked how she was. “Wonderful” was always her reply.

She will be most remembered for her vivacious personality, wit and positive attitude. We want the world to know what an amazing individual and mother Barbara was and how courageously she faced her many health issues.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Robin Mather, her son-in-law Andrew Mather and two grandchildren, Emma and Jac Mather of Calgary, AB. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Basil O’Connor, and parents Margaret and Russell Malyon.

Barbara Anne O’Connor May God Bless and keep you safe until we can all be together again. We will miss your goodness, your straightforward shooting and your mischievous wit. We all take great comfort knowing you are healed, and your long suffering is finally over. We know you are back with your Basil who you have missed every day for the past twenty years. Safe travels Mom. We will add you to our 1111 ritual and never forget your kindness and strength. You were loved and you will be missed.
