I had such a pleasure getting to know Dano over the last 6 months. He really did teach me a lot, and I will make sure to hold on to all of it forever. I am so sorry to hear how his journey ended, but I want you to know he will always be a pleasant memory when I look back at my career. Thank you for always putting up with me Dano (and Jeanne of course!)

  2. I lost contact with Dan and the Newbold family when they left the West Bench many years ago. My sincere condolences to the Newbold family. Even though we moved to different parts as kids I still cherish the times we had on the “Bench”.

    Dear Jean,
I wish to offer my condolences in hearing of Dan’s passing. Knowing you made this difficult decision together but were by his side as he took his last peaceful breath made my heart smile and ache.

Getting to know your family as humans outside of this disease is something I will hold dear to my heart. My thoughts are with you and your family.
