Condolence from Shayan Jones on July 16th, 2019 1:19 PM

Roxanna, Wayne & Family,
My heart is breaking for you because I know how close you were with your beloved sister Brenda. I hope you know she’s resting now in a better place with no suffering. Brenda fought hard and long and the few times I met her I knew right away she was one strong woman! To know you were with her every step of the way in this fight and to the very last minute was and will always be the most comforting gift you could have ever given her.

We love you and are thinking of you always.

Laurie and I want to express our condolences to you, Wayne and the rest of the family. We know you were of great help to your sister over the past weeks and months – I’m sure this was very difficult but nevertheless time spent with her was important to you both.

Condolence from Hobe Horton on July 16th, 2019 7:09 PM

I was saddened to hear the dreadful news from Janice. I saw many of Brenda’s posts on Facebook and was pulling for her to win her fight. Although I don’t think I’ve seen Brenda since our days working together at the Vegreville Swimming Pool, my sister Jane has kept in touch and often mentioned that we should get together with Brenda when she (Jane) visited me in Calgary. My condolences to you and Mike. Treasure your memories.

My sincere condolences to the family. I knew Brenda from our real estate coaching program (Rri coaching). I first met her in Toronto about 3.5 years ago. I had talked to Brenda in a business capacity on the phone prior. When I met her in person she of course greeted me with a big hug! What a great lady! You will be lovingly remembered by your Rri family Brenda! RIP

Condolence from Andi Carey & Family on July 17th, 2019 10:52 AM

Will, Josh and family,
I met your mama playing ladies league golf in cochrane about 7 years ago. My baby was just born, and we were all thrilled to come together on Thursday nights, play a bit of golf and solve all the worlds problems at the 19th hole. We came from all different walks, but connected magically over those 9holes once a week all summer long. Brenda and I (and all the gals that hit it over the water – or tried!) became fast friends as we shared a love of our ‘babies’ and an entrepreneurs-heart. I still remember the way she would beam talking about her boys, and later grand babes. ‘B’ helped my hubby and I (along with babe #2 coming in hot!!) find our dream home on our dream cul de sac. She fought so hard to help us get our house and literally made a dream come true for us. This will always be a memory I cherish. It made her so happy to know we were so happy. ❤️ I will never forget your momma – and please know that knowing her has made my life so much better. I know she rests with some pretty special angels now, and is watching you close. My condolences are with you all, and I hope you are able to dig deep in to memories for a smile and warmth in this hard time. Please if there is anything we can do – say the word. Lots of love, Andi Carey & Jay Spencer, Atticus and London. ❤️❤️❤️

Will, Josh & Family,

Your mother was a champion. I met her through a group of wonderful ladies on Thursday night golf. I was instantly drawn to her. She was the type of person who when she asked “How are you?” ACTUALLY wanted to know. She was so engaged and genuine. I attended one of her Soup Sister nights and loved watching her passion as she did everything in her power to make others lives better as she selflessly battled this demon. She humbled me.

Please know how proud and giddy she was about her family. You were her reason. My brother in law passed away the same day and in my heart I know they are up there having a cocktail and looking after us. Thank you for sharing your Mom, she was and will always be my inspiration for courage.

Condolence from Lynne Cook on July 29th, 2019 6:47 PM

To Josh and Will,
My heartfelt condolences to you and your children on the passing of your dear Mom.
I met Brenda in 2003 when she stepped up to volunteer with Crowfoot Hockey. She took on a huge task when our club was at it largest even with a busy family life and work schedule. Her year round commitment was much appreciated and she did so until you boys hung up your skates in 2010. Always a smile, we had a lot of laughs and we stayed in touch for a few years after. We’ll miss the light she shined on all of us and I’m so grateful for having known her.

To Brenda’s family and friends, especially her two beloved sons and grandchildren,
My sincerest heartfelt condolences to her family. I met Brenda in 1999 – when she and I were both paper reps. I always appreciated her help in securing more business for my company – such a caring, thoughtful, professional go-getter – this attitude carried on into her real estate career. Over the next four years we established a business friendship that eventually grew into a long distance one beyond the paper industry. We both fought breast cancer at the same – Yes Brenda f_ck cancer.
It is with great sadness that I learned the news of Brenda’s passing, especially from a disease she so courageously fought.
She was a great gal! Truly she was one of the most positive people I have ever met.
RIP Brenda – and if you get bored “up” there – feel free to come down and haunt us occasionally – no one would mind! Sincerely, Chris Whitern
