My dear cousin, brother and friend. Where do I begin you were such an influential role in my life growing up. And you were a fiercely protective person who loved with your whole heart, always followed your heart and did whatever made you happy regardless of what anyone thought. You were my go to whenever there was a problem and we would talk for hours if needed. You always knew exactly what to say even if there were hard words in there that needed to be heard even if I didn’t wish to hear them. I will never forget you chasing after my bullies in your shorts, tshirt, and flip flops in the middle of winter because they made me cry. I have so many other memories but that is just one I will remember for the rest of my life. But I know this is not goodbye this is an i will see you later you will always live on in all the people that’s lives you touched and there were many. My thoughts and prayers are with all of your other family and beloved friends while they mourn your death. I know how big of a hole this has left upon so many who were blessed to know you and your larger than life way of living. Shine On My Dear Cousin/Brother/Friend. I love you so much as did so many others.

  7. Oh Mark, when I think of you, I always remember when you came over and wanted a haircut. You called uncle Serge into the house, then you ran in and locked all the doors so your parents couldn’t come in. You didn’t want your Mom and Dad stopping you from getting a buzz cut from uncle. You were so happy!!
Over the years you had some hills to climb. You always came out on top with your positive attitude.
I’m glad we touched base not long ago and you filled me in on how you were. You sounded so happy!!

    Hard to believe you’re gone.

My sincere condolences to your husband, your Mom, Dad and the family. May you RIP ❤ uncle Serge and aunt Nelia

  9. Mark, you always did things your way. I had fun with you and Sue. Driving, laughing, having Timmies along our way. Don, so sorry for your loss. You had a “one in a million” relationship. He would speak about you and say “Don’s done it again” with love in his voice. Got to know you thru him. Anyway, condolences to you all. Mark was a hoot.

Mark was truly one of a kind. It’s difficult to describe him to anyone who never knew him. He broke all the typical stereotypes, could crack a smile from the coldest person in the room without even trying and was always willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He had his share of struggles and never allowed it to break his stride. He was smart, quick witted, and passionate about those he loved. He was the most caring individual I’ve ever known. I feel very lucky to have known Mark throughout some of the toughest times in both our lives. But seeing how truly happy Don has made him, I know he left this world with a happy heart. Until we meet again Markaykee. Love and miss you always

  20. We knew Mark from a young age as neighbours; through his ups and downs, trying to figure out himself and life, he was a constant fixture in our world . He became a family member. He was always welcome at our house and anytime with him was guaranteed to have us laughing hysterically, usually at him and one of his many stories! We got to spend time with Mark & Don over the couple of weeks they were here in Ontario and saw how Mark had changed. Changed for the better. He still was crazy Mark, he still was wild, he still was all the things you loved about him but there was a difference. He was happy. There was a change in him that shone through and it was Don. He finally could be the Mark he was always meant to be. Mischievous. Loud. Silly. Obnoxious. Fun. Rude. Hilarious. Loving. Kindhearted. But now he was happy. Happy from within.
Your memory will never leave our family, Marky Mark. You put your footprints on our hearts and stomped hard.
❤️Paula, Alan, Riley, Tyson & Cole

There is no way to think about Mark that’s doesn’t put a smile on your face. Even his passing shows how truly unique he was. All the different groups of people coming together and all with the same msg. Mark was 100% real all the time and everyone can appreciate that. Although I haven’t seen him since highschool he was always and will always be one of the most memorable people I have ever met. They certainly broke the mold after he came into this world.

Don, I hope all these msgs bring you comfort. I can tell from everyone’s kind words your relationship was one of a kind, thank you for making our friend so happy.
To the Nattress family I hope you can find peace in knowing how much Mark was loved by everyone he ever encountered. Thank you for sharing him with us.

    May he Rest In Peace
