Condolence Messages

  1. David LaFoy :

    To Kona & family:
My sincerest condolences for the loss of Harry. I had the good fortune of working with Harry at Totem Bldg. Supplies in 2009 and we quickly became good friends at work & after work. He was a great mentor to me and I learned a great deal about the building industry from him. I thoroughly enjoyed his quick wit and dry sense of humour. He had me in stitches many times at work and sometimes I thought our managers (who were awesome people too) figured we were goofing off too much. But we knew they knew we worked very hard too to make the store a success. I’ll miss Harry very much. Our friendship was short in years but long in strength. Harry and my dear wife Donna will now carry on conversations in Heaven and Harry will have Donna laughing as much as I did with him. My love to you and your family in this difficult time. Please try to take some comfort in knowing Harry is now free from pain & discomfort and is truly in a better place.

  4. Patricia Young :

    To the family of Harry,

First, let me begin my sharing my deepest condolesences at the loss of your Husband, Father and Grandfather. My father, Harold Wright, who grew up in Langley, BC has also just recently passed away, so I know something of the grief you are experiencing.
While sorting through old family photographs and memorbilia I have found a wedding photograph that was sent to my grandparents by Nobuku and Jutaro Nakamura. I believe these may be the parents of Harry. Although I am not quite sure of the exact connection, my grandparents, Jim and Nell Wright, formally of the Holmstead Rd. Langley, BC were very friendly with a number of Japanese families, indeed over the passing years we have kept in contact with some of them. At the time of the wedding photograph (1932) I believe the Nakamura family lived in New Westminster so I am not sure of how they connected with my family who lived in Langley, but somehow they did as there is correspondence and photographs.

If these photographs and correspondence are of interest to you please let me know and I will mail them to you.

    Again my deepest condolesences.

    Patricia (Wright) Young
