Joseph Mzik passed away peacefully on December 27 2018. Joe loved his family and close friends with all of his being. He will be greatly missed by Emil, Lubo, Libusa and their families.

Born in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia, he travelled the world before settling in Calgary, AB. With a keen mind and a passion for learning, he created his life and lived it kindly to the fullest, whether it was his scientific achievements, or becoming a successful artist. Joseph had a great love for the outdoors, which can be seen through his art. He was a dedicated Roman Catholic and believed in his parish. A man of strong convictions and a genuine gentleman, he will be greatly missed by all the souls he touched. May he rest in peace.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Dr S.E., Calgary, AB) on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 6:00p.m, followed by a Prayer Service at 7:30p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Dr S.E., Calgary, AB) on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2:00p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
