My deepest sympathy to Shirley’s family. I did not know Shirley well but met her through my Mum, Babs Barker. Shirley and I shared many memories of Rincon de Guayabitos and knew many of the same people, and best restaurants. When she was here last year, we got together for a nice visit and light lunch at my casa. Shirley will be missed by all who knew her, but she is safely in God’s care now and at peace. Remember the good times.

  18. Cari Middleton

    Dear Middleton Family,
I am writing to offer condolences on behalf of my mother-in-law, Laurine Middleton. Laurine worked with Shirley for a number of year in the men’s department of Market Mall Woodward’s. They remained friends for a number of years afterward and would meet for lunch quite often. Laurine lost track of Shirley a few years ago mostly due to them both moving into Senior Residences. Laurine in now in Brentwood Senior Care as she is unable to live on her own and has dementia.
When we told her of Shirley she was very sad at the loss of her dear friend. She said “I have lossed a very good friend and I will think of her often” and asked if we would pass it along.
On behalf of our Middleton family, we are so very sorry for you loss and hope that you will hold on to the memories that made your mother, sister, aunt so special.

    Cari and David Middleton
