Condolence Messages

  1. I worked with Dr Meiring at the outpatient Geriatric program at Rockyview Hospital in the ‘90s. We shared many a good conversation and laugh while there as well as listening to frustrations that we all shared at the time. Always remembered as a lovely man devoted to family.
    Please accept my condolences

  2. My condolences to the Meiring Family
Peter and I worked together in Geriatric care and later we collaborated on public presentations. I admired his intelligence and his passion for quality patient care. We shared a commitment to health promotion for seniors and had some good conversations – and laughs – about our own aging.

    Kate and Family
We were saddened to hear of the passing of your father. Our mother was fortunate to have had Peter as her doctor for the years she lived in assisted living. She benefitted not only from his fine care but enjoyed the time he spent with her afterwards talking about his time in South Africa and most importantly their discussions about current affairs of which they both had many and varied opinions. He was held in high esteem. You are in our thoughts.

My thoughts and sincere sympathy are with all of you at this very sad time. I remember your Dad fondly from high school days with Karin, how he would drive us here and there, piled into the family station wagon. It’s been years, but the memories endure, and I hope that you’ll all gather strength from your own great memories of a wise and dedicated father.

    Dear Meiring family,
Our friendship with Peter (and Ann) is only a few years old, but we have come to appreciate them as very good neighbours and have enjoyed Peter’s many experiences and interests in our visits over a cup of coffee and we have missed them since they moved. The good memories linger and we wish the same for you.

To the Meiring family. It was very sad to hear of Peter’s passing, just a short time after seeing him at Ann’s celebration of life service. He was so kind to remember and ask about my mother in Quebec. I recall the good chats we had car-pooling to the Rocky Mountain Eagle Research Foundation Board meetings a number of years ago, and his greatly expanded interest in eagles and then swans. What an interesting, caring and gentle man he was. My sincere sympathy to your extended family.
