Condolence from Diane J. Strickland on November 18th, 2018 5:38 PM

Rick’s determination to live as well and as long as possible was a great lesson for me. I will remember him for that, with gratitude. I will remember him for all the trees he planted behind his house–and how he then planted even more! And I will remember him standing in his open garage door with a bag of dog treats for Katie. Then I will remember him laughing with the neighbours as we jammed ourselves onto two benches. I will remember knowing that even when he said nothing, he always had a point of view. And still after that, and much more, I will remember him, my good neighbour.

Condolence from Dale & Graham Clarke on November 18th, 2018 7:33 PM

Graham and I were truly honoured and blessed to have known Rick. Our Pinebrook family plus our Riverside Villa cul de sac family has suffered a great loss and we will deeply miss this wonderful man.
Rick always had an amazingly good outlook on life. After his first treatment he lost all his hair. When it grew it back in he wanted all the ladies to rub his head of beautifully soft hair – it made him laugh and we loved it!
It takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, and a day to love them, but it takes an entire lifetime to forget them. Unknown.

Very sorry for your loss. I very much enjoyed my one on one time with Rick!

Condolence from Les Free on November 19th, 2018 9:39 AM

Rick hired me with absolutely no radio experience in 1988! We all had so much fun at CTRY 105 in those days. Skiing every weekend, and hanging out both socially and professionally with one another, it was simply one of the best times of my life! Rick Meaney is the reason it all worked, he was fun, and a great entrepreneur at the same time. He will be very missed. My sympathies go to Suzanne and Rick’s children and grandchildren.

Dear Suzanne and family,

Ray and I send our deepest condolences. Although I was one of the younger cousins, I still have fond memories of Auntie Eileen andRick and the family visiting at Christmas. It was late sixties so the pictures I have of those times are pretty funny. Sending a warm hug from Ottawa.
