MCKENZIE, Ralph Alexander

June 4, 1935 – Vancouver, British Columbia
April 18, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

Ralph McKenzie, beloved husband of Kay and cherished father of Ross, Garth and Heather of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the age of 82 years.

Ralph received his Chartered Accountants designation in 1960. His career was in public practice and the oil patch. He felt that he was fortunate to work and live in Geneva, Switzerland, London, England and Cuba; where he learned French and Spanish.

Ralph was a gentle, unassuming, kind man. Warmth, grace, caring, honesty, generosity, affection, tenacity, courage and forbearance were qualities he demonstrated.

He found joy in his granddogs, travelling, racquet sports, skiing, golf, music of all kinds, his raspberry patch at the cottage and vintage cars, especially his mint condition BMW M5. Ralph was a fine host and was never happier than when he was surrounded by family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 2:00p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
