It is with sorrow, Ron’s family announce his peaceful passing at the age of 61 years on Monday, February 26, 2018.

Endeared by his family as “Brent”,he lived his life on his own terms. Ron chose his life path at an early age, finding connection with the homeless community. Street life taught him many skills and values and gave him a sense of family. Overcoming many obstacles in his early years, he had a deep appreciation for a new lease on life. Finding peace and comfort in solitude, Ron had a passion for reading, reflective writing and time contemplating life. He will be remembered for his ability to entertain with a good story.

Ron is survived by his sisters, Dawn (Dan) Hunt, Laurie (Aby) Martten; nephew Adam; niece Lindsay (Kevin, Mya, Kai); as well as aunts, cousins and stepfather.

He was predeceased by his father Ron McGhee; mother, Sharon Williams; uncle Lindy; and grandparents.

Sincere appreciation is extended to all the individuals and organizations that have supported Ron throughout the years, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

    I don’t know if any of you remember me but I was his daughter. My deepest condolences to all that he had a positive impact on their lives. I wanted you all to know he is also survived by myself Shylin Caldwell and his 3 grandchildren Adrina, Morrigan and Dante. I hope that he found peace even though the last time we spoke was over 23 years ago. I thought of him often and always wondered about how his life turned out.
