  11. The Ray and Simpson families first met in 1947 when my parents boarded at Connie’s parent’s place while Dad was attending Normal School in Stratford, Ontario. Connie was 11 months old when I was born there, and thus began the unofficial syblingship and family bond that has lasted all these years. Lorne, Meg, Marcus and Mike…the Ray Family joins you in your grief and in your celebration of Connie, the partner, mother, grandmother and friend! We (Jack & Janice, Matt & Ambi, Doug & Dell, Adele, Jaydee & Sue) will cherish our memories of her.

  12. Lorne,
I was saddened to hear of the loss of your dear wife Connie. Although I only met Connie a few times, I remember how fondly you spoke of her at our class 63, annual get together s. I know you and Meg will need time to get over the pain and emptiness you must both be feeling right now. It is my fervent hope that the memories you have will be of some small comfort right now. Lean on one another and find solace in the arms of your family. I wish you both, as well as the rest of your family, peace in the days, weeks and months ahead.

  21. Dear Lorne, Meg and her family and Mike,
I have such terrific and sometimes funny memories of living next door to Connie on William Street. Connie was such a special friend. Whenever, we saw each other it felt like we had never been apart. The main reason I went into teaching was Connie. Her love of teaching and all the funny stories she told. I have always felt honored that she referred to me as her “little sister” and of course the “brat” she loved. I will miss her.
    With love Mary

Both Bob and I are so very sorry for your loss and are thinking of you. Bob and Mary
