MAXIMUK, Gail Elizabeth (nee Desrochers)

It is with deep sadness and sense of loss that we announce Gail’s passing. She left peacefully on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Chinook Hospice, surrounded by family, after a long difficult battle with cancer. She faced her illness with courage, grace, and dignity.

Gail is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Wayne; daughters and their spouses, Leigh Edmonds and Nathan, and Amy Johanson and Jason; and grandson Finley Sim Johanson. Also grieving the loss of Gail, are her sister, Roseanne Pegler; brothers and sisters-in-law, Will, Eugenia, Murray and Jo-anne; as well as her nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Gail was a kind, generous soul, she loved organizing events and activities for her family and friends. Gail will be missed dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
