Condolences for the family of “MARTIN, Larry Allen”

Condolence from Marci Lucas (nee Martin) on September 23rd, 2018 9:20 PM

How very sad we all are to hear that Uncle Larry left the world way too soon. He was always beyond kind and welcoming when our family visited Calgary, offering meals, rides and spare beds. He exemplified being a loving, servant-hearted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, son and brother. He was usually playful and joking, except when it came to home and car repairs–those he took seriously. He will be dearly missed by his family and relatives, but warm memories of him will live on forever. God bless you, Aunt Marion, and dear cousins as you grieve this huge loss.

Deepest sympathy to the whole family, but Marion, Daryl and Rene in particular. We didn’t get to know Larry very well on our trips to the cabin, but know his passing leaves a big void in your lives. Be certain that your love made his life a full and happy one.

My deepest condolences. Larry was one of a kind. He has forgot more knowledge than mosts others will ever have in their life times. A brilliant technician. And a good friend. I will raise a pilsner in his memory. He will be missed.

Daryl,

I am so very sorry to hear your father has passed. I’ve been thinking about you and your family.
I believe that GOD is smiling at your Daddy right now and telling him, “Well done my good and faithful, servant! Welcome home!”
I’ll be praying for you, Brother!
We love you and will keep you and your family in our prayers…

Condolence from Heather Skaien on September 25th, 2018 11:56 AM

Larry was a good friend from the first moment we met him. It was Thanksgiving Weekend and we had no electricity. He invited us to join his family for dinner and from that night we knew it was a kind and generous guy!
Kootenay Lake won’t be the same without him.

Condolence from Iola Whiteside on September 25th, 2018 6:19 PM

Larry saw no reason to travel the world. His world was his home. His wants were simple. He wanted only to provide for his family, to nurture and encourage each one.
His pride in the many accomplishments of his children and grandchildren was obvious. This was his reward and this is what we celebrate. My sincere condolences to all the humans and to poor Brody.

Condolence from Annette Stelle on September 25th, 2018 9:15 PM

It may have been a decade since I last saw Larry yet hearing about his passing so saddens me.
Larry was really one of the good guys!
The magic of his laughter with that mischievous twinkle of eye and all it’s crinkles at the corners would lite up many a child’s face and will never be forgotten.
It was a pleasure and a privilege, bless you man!

Condolence from Lynda McIntosh on September 26th, 2018 4:44 PM

It has been a long time since I saw any of the Martin family – but I do know that Larry’s passing will leave a void that will be difficult, if not impossible, to fill. I do remember Larry’s quick wit and all engaging laughter; his willingness to help out in any situation.

My deepest sympathy at this very sad and difficult time.

Condolence from Gary Berscht on September 26th, 2018 9:56 PM

Marion and family,
My most sincere condolences of the loss of Larry. He was a true gentleman and a great friend. I had known Larry since 1981 and truly cherished our friendship. Larry was always helpful and giving, in so many ways. I will miss our conversations in the garage out back and our laughs we always had at the Christmas parties. I am so glad I got to see Larry in the hospital one last time. So hard to say goodbye. I will always remember Larry’s laugh and grin forever. May your many memories of Larry help you get through this difficult time.

Daryl,
We were sorry that you had to say goodbye to your dad so early. While we did not know him as well as we should have after all these years, we can say that he is remembered in your image. Wish we could be there to support you, Rene and Seren as you have been there for us. Peace be with you. Greg, Paula and Jenna
