Condolence from Susan Ryall on May 17th, 2019 10:51 AM

Elizabeth and family,
I pray that you will be comforted at this time.May God give you the courage and peace. I only recall meeting Stephen when he was in Nova Scotia for his father’s funeral. I am thankful that he did keep in contact with his cousins on the Manley side. I remember when I was little visiting them when they lived off Boundary St, Esdaile Avenue. I am talking late 50’s early 60’s.we can all say there has been a lot of water under the bridge over the years. I know he must have been a beautiful person. Now he is with his Saviour. I just lost my husband in February. My heart goes out to you.. Take care Susan (Manley) Ryall.

Condolence from Susan Taylor on May 18th, 2019 3:28 PM

I had the privilege of working with Stephen with the Alberta Government and the honour to have brought well wishes when he retired from government service. Stephen was a kind, gentle man with a good heart and deep sense of compassion. I saw this first hand when during the 2013 floods in Calgary and Stephen and his staff worked around the clock to help vulnerable people impacted by the flood’s displacement. On behalf of his government colleagues, we extend our deepest sympathies to Liz and to all of the family.

I was very sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. I remember him fondly when he worked on the Parent Council at Father Whelihan. I always admired him for his cool head and warm heart. He approached matters realistically, with reason and understanding. He will be greatly missed by many. I was also sadden to hear about Shawn. They were both great people. My condolences to the family.
