February 16, 1954 – Leader, Saskatchewan
August 17, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta
Sally Marcella MacLean, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, passed away in Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the age of 65 years.
Sally was born a country girl, to Kay and Joseph Hauck in a farming community near Leader, SK, and grew up riding her horse bareback from the age of five. She completed her education in Regina and moved to Calgary at the age of nineteen to work in exploration and production accounting. She married Neil MacLean, April 28, 1979, in Calgary, AB and together they were blessed with two wonderful children, Laura and Murray. Sally was a wonderful mother that encouraged and shared a healthy and energetic lifestyle with her family. Although tennis was her passion dancing, yoga, and paddle boarding as well as many other active pursuits were an important part of every day. As her role as a mother lessened Sally chose to enter the Real Estate business and established herself as one of Calgary’s best. Her honesty, integrity, and attention to detail helped her win the confidence of her clients and numerous awards with REMAX and Coldwell Banker. Sally was healthy and vibrant, and her smile and outgoing personality brightened up any gathering. She was loved and respected by a broad cross section of friends, family, and clients. Sally will be dearly missed by all that know her, but her influence will stay with us forever.
Sally is survived by her husband Neil, children, Laura and Murray; her mother Kay, brothers, Jody, Kim and Allan; and her sister Lisa.
