  4. Maureen Potvin :

My condolences to the Yetman family. Karen had a hug heart and rooted for the underdog aka me. We met when we were 8 years old as she was defending me from bullies; she won of course. We stayed friends and hung around into our teen years. We got our very first apartment together. We separated in our late twenties, as I moved out West. But we never lost touch as we communicated by phone until she move out West. She use to tell me “people will come and go but you will always be in my life” that was true. She was a loyal, truthful (whether you like it or not) and trusted friend. She would bend over backwards to help anyone out. She was always there for me. I have discovered these last two years what a hero is; she was my hero. She fought to the very end with positivity and grace. Karen you fought a good fight now rest my friend with your Lord Jesus Christ. Always and forever in my heart love you my friend. Maureen

I had the pleasure of working with Karen for several years as she was the account manager for many of the projects for our Environmental Division at AMEC. She always had a smile and a great attitude. Her optimism was contagious and she worked hard and was truly a valued member of the team. She will be missed.

  12. Linda Bouchard Spagnolo :

My sincere sympathy to Tim, Tom and families, (and apologies for the lateness of this message), I only heard about Karen’s passing yesterday Aug16th, and needless to say I was shocked and saddened by this news. I remember being neighbor’s in Amabaie, on Basswood and her and I attending all of each others birthday parties, hanging out into our teens, and then working at Zellers together. It is so difficult to lose someone so young and vital, and losing a brother or sister is the worst. We lost Ron this passed March, and it has been hard on all of us. My love and prayers go out to you. She will always be remembered, for her energy and spunk. She told it like it was whether you liked it or not, but always with the best of intentions.
