LISKOWICH, Stephen (Steve) Theodore

September 25, 1940 – Bienfait, Saskatchewan
July 28, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steve Liskowich of Calgary, AB, on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the age of 78 years.

The only child of Fred and Olga Liskowich, Steve spent his formative years in southeastern Saskatchewan. He graduated from the College of Optometry in 1964, and practiced in Calgary for more than forty years. He took great pride in his work and the relationships that he developed with his patients. This personal connection was at the core of his business. Steve was also an avid fisherman who found great joy in his time on the water. He was a master storyteller who liked to share tales of his adventures in the “good old days”. He also enjoyed a good game of cards.

Steve is survived by his wife Sandy, of fifty-four years, and his sons Trevor (Sharon) and Kevin.

Our family is deeply appreciative of the care and support provided to Steve and the family by the Comprehensive Community Care (C3) program at Carewest Sarcee.

A Celebration of Steve’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com.

In living memory of Steve Liskowich, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB, T2S 2L5, Telephone: 403-243-8200.
